Went to Bury yesterday to do some shopping and met up with our friend John. So we did some shopping picked up the new Richard Morgan novel and one based on the game Dead Island which looked interesting. Then we went back to our friends place to check out his new 3d TV.

It was pretty cool but like all 3d that isn't on an imax screen it soon begun to give me a headache. On a side note the 3d version of Beauty and The Beast is amazing considering 1.how old it is and 2. it wasn't filmed in 3d orginally.

So we're getting ready to leave when he says he's got something for us. For me he hands me a blu-ray player(that plays Amercian blu-rays) and for the husband a rack of ribs he'd gotten from one of the US bases nearby. All I can say I was amazed he was giving us this stuff consider the player alone was over £100 new.

Sometimes our friends are really amazing :)

This means I can now pick up some of those anime blu-rays I've been longing to get a hold of that haven't been releashed over here including the Supernatural anime.:)

Is it just me or is livejournal really dying. Most of the time the page wouldn't load for me at all and the rest of the time it's slow as hell :(

Today we're going out to dinner as well as catching a couple of movies which hopefully will be Captain Amercia and Super 8. It should be a good day all round.:)
