Rule Of Rose

Just finished playing Rule Of Rose and I have to say I'm not quite sure what the fuss was all about. There really wasn't anything in this game that was any worse then games like Silent Hill, Project Zero or even Resident Evil so why everyone was complaining about it is a mystery.

All in all it wasn't even that good a game, the plot and graphics (espically in the cut scenes) were good but the combat was good awful and the game machanics meant you spend most of the game following your dog from one clue to the next rather then searching for stuff yourself. It's a shame really as it would have been so much better if they had made the combat systerm so much better.

Ninety Nine Nights

Finished playing through the first character in Ninety Nine Nights and I have to say I'm not too impressed with the game. The graphics are excellent, which is to be expected of a 360 game but the game itself isn't as good as other games of it's type ie Dynasty/Samurai warriors . Not only are there only 6 levels per character the difficulty level is really high so you are stuck playing through the same few levels to try and level up your character so you can carry on with the story.

This sort of thing isn't as bad in the Dynasty Warriors series as they have a free mode that you can play to level up your character which is better then having to play the same level over and over again.It certainly doesn't make me want to play through any of the other characters scenarios. Which brings me to the plot, which wasn't really that good and I wasn't really that sure what was going on. Perhaps you need to play through the other characters to get the full plot but as I said having to play the same levels over and over again doesn't really make me want to play through them.

The music is pretty good but the voice acting is pretty bad especially the main character as her voice is very annoying. There is also a great deal of slow down especially when you use a special move.

Not a terrible game but not a truly horrible one either.

Just remebered something else that really annoyed me about having to replay the levels you can't skip the cut scenes during the level only the one at the beginning. It makes it even more annoying.*sigh*
