What I finished in May
May. 31st, 2010 10:14 pmHere's what I finished in the month of May. No anime series or manga this month.*sigh*
Movies
Mirrors - Keifer Sutherland - horror, remake - 3.5/4 - an excellent movie and damn creepy as well. Plus even though it's a remake the actul story is a lot different from the orginal movie.
Abandoned - Karel Roden - horror - 3/4 - another creepy movie with a house that seemed to have escaped from House Of Leaves.
Ghost In The Shell 2.0 - Steve Blum - anime, si-fi - 3/4 - I was amazed about how much of this movie I'd forgotten.
Prince Of Persia:The Sands Of Time - Jake Gyllenhaal - action, history, video game - 3/4 - Not a brilliant movie but enjoyable none the less.
42/50 movies watched
Video Games
The Secret Files: Tunguska - Wii - point and click - Not a bad game but man some of the puzzles were beyond abstract.
Alan Wake - Xbox 360 - survival horror - Awesome, awesome game. Now what I really want is some Silent Hill/Alan Wake crossover fic/art.
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires - Xbox 360 - hack and slash - In this one you get to take over the whole of China with you chosen warrior Romance Of The Three Kingdoms style. The charcter creator is quite fun to play with as well.
Lost Planet - Xbox 360 - shooter - Thought I'd get this one done before the 2nd one come out. Enjoyable game.
Fatel Frame (Project Zero) 4- Wii - Survival horror - Like all the Fatel Frame games this one was creepy as all hell.
10/50 video games finished
TV Shows
BBC's Life - documentry, animals - watching this is high def was amazing.
NCIS season 1 - watching yet another crime show. Likable characters and crimes with a milatry spin on them make this show interesting.
NCIS season 2 - can't say I was expecting how this season ended. A little shocking to say the least.
8/50 TV shows watched
Books
Paprika by Yayutaka Tsutsui - si-fi, medical - 2.5/4 - It doesn't happen often but I enjoyed the film much more then the book.
The Alan Wake Files by Clay Steward - horror - 3/4 - An interesting little book set a year after the game as Clay tries to find out what actully happened in Bright Falls and to Alan.
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold - crime, religion - 3/4 - I didn't think I was going to like this book but it was actully pretty enjoyable.
E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton - crime - 2.5/4 - The least enjoyable in the series so far
The Dragon Factory by Jonathan Muberry - action, si-fi - 4/4 - Joe Ledger is back and just as awesome as last time
The Desert Spear by Peter V Brett - fantasy - 3.5/4 - the second book in a triolgy and as such sets up more of the story and gives more background on some of the minor characters from the first book.
Archangel's Kiss by Nalini Singh - supernatural, vampires - 3.5/4 - while not as exciting as the first book there are still plenty of creepy things going on.
F Is For Fugitive by Sue Grafton - crime - 3/4 - Back on track once more
49/100 books read so far
