Here are the books I read during the merry month of May.

Book 36: Shakespeare's Secret by JL Carrell
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2535117.The_Shakespeare_Secret
Type: Crime
What I Thought: Even thought the plot was a little silly in places the facts about Shakespeare were really interesting and the book kept me guessing about who the real bad guy was until the end.
Score: 3 1/2 out of 4

Book 37: Aristotle Detective by Margaret Doody
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2147415.Aristotle_Detective
Type:Crime, Historical
What I Thought: This was a pretty interesting book. I haven't read a novel set in ancient Greece before so that made it quite fun as well. I guessed the murderer fairly early on as it was pretty obvious who it was from very early on in the book but apart from that it was pretty damn good.
Score: 3 out of 4

Book 38: Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1128253.Altered_Carbon
Type: Crime, Si-fi
What I Thought: This was a really interesting book. The si-fi elements were really well thought out andthings that I could see happening in the future. The book reads like a detective novel with si-fi elements and it's all the better for it.
Score: 3 out of 4

Book 39: Goat Dance by Douglus Clegg
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23842.Goat_Dance
Type: Horror
What I Thought: I mangered to read this book in a day. It was really gripping and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next and how the book was going to end. A recommened read.
Score: 3 1/2 out of 4

Book 40: Dragon Bones by Patrica Briggs
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/123408.Dragon_Bones
Type: Fantasy
What I Thought: Another really enjoyable book that I liked a lot more then I thought I was going to when I picked it. I really loved all the characters they were a lot of fun.
Score: 3 1/2 out of 4

Book 41: The Tower by Valerio Massimo Manfredi
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62346.The_Tower
Type: Historical, Fantasy, Crime
What I Thought: I didn't really like this book that much at all. The plot was pretty boring and silly to be honest.
Score: 2 out of 4

Book 42: The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/495964.The_Blade_Itself
Type: Fantasy
What I Thought: This is the first book in The First Law trilogy and it was a pretty enjoyable read. It is billed as realistic fantasy and it certainly has a very real feel to it with all the pains and hassel of travel in a medivialish world is explored. The only thing I felt held this book back is that fact that I really didn't like any of the main characters at all.
Score: 3 out of 4

Book 43: Before They Hang by Joe Anercrombie
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/902715.Before_They_Are_Hanged
Type: Fantasy
What I Thought: This is the second book in The First Law trilogy and it explores a bit more of the world the story is set in and explains a bit more of the reasons the characters are doing the things they do.
Score 2 1/2 out of 4

Book 44: The Last Arguement Of Kings by Joe Abercrombie
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/944076.Last_Argument_Of_Kings_Book_Three_of_the_First_Law
Type: Fantasy
What I Thought: This is the last in The First Law trilogy. It ties up all the lose ends for all the characters but I really didn't like the ending of thi series at all.
Score:2 1/2 out of 4

Book 45: Blood Bank by Tanya Huff
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2348596.Blood_Bank
Type: Crime, Vampires
What I Thought: This is a set of short stories set before and after the Blood books by Tanya Huff. I really enjoyed the stories as it was nice to see what the characters got up to after the series ended and to see some of Henry's life before he met Vickie.
Score: 3 out of 4
