After watching each episode I've been reading the episode guide for the dub and it's pretty plain to see that out of all the main characters it's Bakura and Kiba that had their personalities raped the most by 4Kids. Especially Kiba who was turned into an even more moody asshole then he was already.

Having got a lot further in the show then I did the first time round I'm happy to say Bakura is still my fav character. He may be an ass but I can't help but like him anyway. I also have new found respect for Otogi who I really disliked the first time round. I stopped watching just after the whole mess with the Dungeon Dice Monsters so I never saw when he came back into the show.

Don't even get me started on the whole thing hun. It makes me shudder.

I have been hearing something about it being re-released uncut.

We can but hope because the subs I'm watching are pretty horrid for the most part.

My sister bought them for herself and her kids - don't remind me of how horrible the dubs are. -shuddering-

It's ashame really as some of their voice actors are actully quite good they just don't get enough credit due to being assocated with 4Kids.

It's a shame 4Kids got their hands on it all together and ruined the series. I hope that whoever does get the rights to the series does a whole hell of a better job.

I would guess either Viz who have the rights to the manga and do a lot of the Shonen Jump based animes or Funimation who were the ones who released some of the uncut DVDs, along with with Shaman King before 4kids stopped them because (surprise, surprise) they were out selling their own cut dvds.

Hell I can see why they were outselling the cut DVDs. I was buying the uncut ones because I hate seeing anime butchered and I was going to try to get my sister into watching the series without it being cut or the images being wiped out because of they either would offend people or give kids nightmares.

Now I am forced to watch the cut episodes with the kids and my sister.

Which is why I'm really gratful to who ever uploaded all the uncut episodes to Veoh even if the subs are a little ropey at times.

I watched it that way myself a few months ago. xD I couldn't swallow the bad cut that I went looking for the subs.

Yeah I had been searching for the uncut version for quite some time so I was pretty damn happy when I finally found it.
