Things finished in Septemeber part 2

duowolfAgain I'm gonna put a cut here in case of spoilers for the anime I've seen and the games Tales Of Vesperia and Silent Hill Homecoming.
Anime
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya extra episodes (si-fi, school drama) - 8/10 - I think I most be one of the few people who actully liked the Endless Eight Arc. I thought it was fun and I enjoyed spotting all the little changes between the epiosodes. The film making episodes were a lot less fun in my opinion.
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Rei (horror, comedy) - 9/10 - The last chapter of the game as well as two rather silly chapter that didn't really fit into the main anime. In the first Keiichi gets a pair of magic swimwear and everyone else try to steal it. The next three eps are the true ending of the show and the last episode was another comedy with Rena falling in love with some of the other characters due to a spell. I'd forgotten how much I missed these guys.
Hunter X Hunter GI Final OVA (fantasy) - 8/10 - The last OVA for Hunter x Hunter and a fitting end to the series though I would have liked to find out what happened to everyone else.
Toshi Densetsu Monogatari Hikko (horror) 9/10 - This is a short horror OVA of a similer vein as The Grudge and The Ring but done completly in compter graphics rather then tradition animation. This is a really creepy short and I'm surprised that more people haven't seen it. It freaked me out more then once and the ending is espically freaky for more then one reason. *shudder*
Kakurenbo (horror) 8/10 - Another short horror about a group of kids playing hide and seek in an abandonen part of Tokyo and getting chased by demons. The ending is really freaky and demons are all really creepy. The animation is really beautiful.
Nodame Cantabile OVA (romance, comedy) 8/10 - This was a really fun extra episode and I really enjoyed even if I couldn't remeber who the guy who was the main for this episode actully was. Still really enjoyable and the end of the episode was pretty damn funny.
Shikabana Hime Kuro OVA (horror) -6/10 - Another extra episode that was really interesting to learn about how Minai became a Shikabana Hime in the first place. Her partner really was a jerk though even back then.
Spice And Wolf II (drama, fantasy) 5/10 - I really didn't enjoy the second season as much as I did the first. The first arc was really annoying and second one really wasn't that much better either. Hopefully if they do make another season it will be more enjoyable then this one was.
Video Games
Tales Of Vesperia (RPG) - I really enjoyed this game, all of the characters were likable and the plot twists left me guessing what the hell was going on most of the time. It was nice that neither time I had to fight my rival it was in serious anger which is good since the two of them were suppose to be friends and I also liked the fact that we didn't actully kill the guy who was the final boss. Which is good because I really liked Duke, he was a cool character and really nice-looking to boot.
The other thing I liked about this game was the fact that there was a non-human party memeber, in this case a dog, that actully acted like a dog and didn't speak human at all. It was nice and espically amushing at certain points in game and in the sketchs when everyone was talking and trying to guess what he was saying.
The extra costumes were also cool and it was highly amushing to go into a serious scene wearing floppy bunny ears. Will defently play through the game again sometime.
Silent Hill:Homecoming (survival horror) - Another creepy as hell game in the Silent Hill series. I really enjoyed playing through this even if I had to start again due to running out of healing items and having almost no health left. Thankfully I did a lot better the second time around. The last boss was a goddamed pain in the ass but thankfully the others weren't too bad.
I also guessed half of what was going on before it was revealed but that didn't really make the game less enjoyable as it was interesting to see the reasons behind these things.Also my parents were really not very nice people at all and they got what they deserved. I was really glad I bdidn't have to fight the Pyramid Head that was wondering around the place either. On a side note you could tell they got a lot of inperation from the film for this game including the effects when the fog world chages into rust world.Not that this was a bad thing.
Well that took a lot longer to write up then I thought it was going to. Here's hoping I can get a few more books read in October.
