Dear Boys and a couple of other things
May. 10th, 2005 10:50 amWell finished watching Dear Boys finally and I have to say it wasn't as good as i thought it was going to be. It wasn't really bad but it wasn't that good either.
The plot was alright, and the characters weren't that annoying but I wasn't to keen on the animation style and they seemed to add bits of cg for the sake of it when there wasn't really any need for it.
I'd recommend it to fans of Basketball mostly as thats what it's mainly about, most people will enjoy it as long as they don't expect to much out of it. There are a few slashy moments but nothing that really stands out.
Finished playing Deadly Strike, a budget game by Midus. This is a Streets Of Rage type of game, this is also the best game this company has made out of the ones I've played(ie Maze Action and Endless Quest*shudder*). Not bad for what it cost.
Lastly watched The Amityville Horror remake last night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and there were plenty of jumps to be had. Then again I jump at anything, that said it wasn't that scary a movie. The acting in the movie was pretty good, which always helps in these sort of things. Also they've changed alot of things in this movie so don't go into it expecting a true repesentation of the DeFoe murders and what is claimed happened in the house there after. If anyone is interested in finding out more on the subject can go here:
