Rambling about Evangelion

duowolfWell it's almost the end of my holiday now only the weekend to go and then it's back to work. *sigh* I really don't want to go but then I should make the most of it as soon I won't have a job at all and I'll most likly get bored while I'm looking for a new one espically if it takes a while.
I've been reading The Complete Idoits Guide To Understanding Islam and have noticed something in common between Islam and Evangelion's angels.
What I noticedwas the fact that no angels under Islam have free will which then started me thinking about Evangelion and the angels in that. Now I've always thought that they were based from the angels in Christanity but after reading this book I'm not so sure.
This is mainly because the angels in the Bible have free will in the sense that some of them made the choice to go aganist God and become evil. If they didn't have a kind of free will they wouldn't have been able to do that.
The thing that really sealed the deal for me though is the fact in Eva the last angel is espically given the title of the angel with free will which to me says this is something special so the other angels must not have free will. This leds me to say that they were based from angels in Islam rather from angels in Christanity.
Of couse someone else has most likly already said all this before but as I don't spend that much time in the Eva fandom I thought I'd share my thoughts on the matter.
Hopefully I should finish Fire Emblem today and then I'll have to look for something else to play.
Something else I noticed is the fact that I haven't wrote any fanfic in over 3 years. I hadn't realized it had been so long.
